RUNWAY /25 May 2017
Mother Gothel from Tangled turned up in a velvet-green Alberta Ferretti gown.
MulanMulan turned up in a full Chanel look from the Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 collection – black cotton dress embellished with golden buttons, and a 18k yellow gold bracelet.
Pocahontas stunned the crowd in an Haute Couture off-white silk taffeta bustier dress and coat by Dior, and jewellery from Rihanna’s collaboration with Chopard.
Snow White showed up in a befittingly graceful black tulle Haute Couture gown, and an evening clutch, both by Dior.
BelleBelle made an appearance – albeit without the Beast – in a thigh-high slit silk gown by Alexandre Vauthier, and Bulgari jewellery.
Aurora was dressed in a sheer tulle gown, and natural make-up, both by Dior.
Queen Elsa wore a look straight from Chanel’s recent Cruise 2018 runway – a grey knitted dress with a light pink knitted top.
Jasmine donned a Giambattista Valli Couture dress, flaunting her Olive tan and toned legs on the red carpet.
The Evil Queen
The Evil Queen had to follow Snow White to Cannes. She’s dressed in a crimson tulle gown, embellished with goose and ostrich feathers by Givenchy Haute Couture. The crown and cape? Her own.
Tucked away in the vast world of Instagram is this account @gregorymasouras. His feed is peppered with giggles-inducing fashion images superimposed with Disney Princesses, like this of Rapunzel gazing at an almost-naked Oliver Chesire. The man behind is 24-year-old Athens-based Gregory Masouras. By day he’s a full-time photographer, image retoucher, and illustrator. By night, he’s a Disney aficionado. It was three and a half years ago, that he chanced upon “a cloud that looked like the Batman logo.” He snapped it and edited the Batman logo into the cloud. Before he knew it, “the idea was born”. He posts these Disney images on his Instagram page, albeit sometimes on his blog as well. You’ll find more of his works on Instagram with the hashtag #AnimationInReality.
